What a great day for a creek cleanup. And, what a great job this small but mighty group of volunteers did to remove a ton of trash from Coyote Creek at Selma Olinder Park. Our 12 volunteers removed 33 bags of trash, two couches, loads of Christmas decorations, and other furniture. We found a motorcycle (!!!) but weren't able to pull it up the steep bank for disposal.
One participants realized that "It's pretty sad how much trash gets left near the creek and gets into the Bay and the ocean." However, others enjoyed meeting new people. Every little bit of trash removed from our creeks counts towards a healthier environment. Great job all.
