My First Coyote Creek Cleanup

On November 12th, I attended my first Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful creek clean up. I had a great time meeting new people, picking up trash, and learning about Coyote Creek and the neighborhood community in San Jose.

Although it was discouraging to see all of the trash surrounding the creek and the Olinder Elementary School, every time that I left an area I cleaned, I felt that I made a difference.

We removed 30 bags of trash, a bike, and a mattress from in and around the creek. My experience was fantastic. I’m so happy to have found such a great community and to help the environment.
