GivingTuesday 2020

Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful is happy to announce that we are participating in this year’s GivingTuesday. The global event of Giving invites individuals to celebrate the holiday season by helping their community and by giving back. This GivingTuesday, give the gift of nature by helping host more BioBlitz events. They are a wonderful way to learn about nature at a micro-level and care for the species that live in our ecosystem.

Help us raise $5000 to fund more BioBlitz events in 2021. Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful hosts monthly BioBlitz events, where citizen scientists join naturalists to look at nature in the parks surrounding Coyote Creek. Coyote Creek is a 64-mile long river that has the largest watershed in Santa Clara County. The diverse ecosystem includes creeks, valley floor, saline environments, urban areas, and over 20 miles of biking and hiking trails. Together, we can promote the education of the species found in our environment, and make a difference.

Anyone of any age can participate in the BioBlitz events, and we guarantee you, you have never taken such a closer look at nature before! See our BioBlitz page to learn more about these fun events. Let friends and family know to keep us in their thoughts for this upcoming GivingTuesday. We’d like to host more BioBlitz events in the new year to keep educating citizen scientists on the importance of preserving the wildlife found in our environment. We appreciate every single donation, big or small, every one of them counts.

Our fun BioBlitz events are for everyone.

BioBlitz events are family-friendly activities and also attract those who have never visited one of the parks to learn about the variety of wildlife along Coyote Creek. We find species such as pollinator insects, water bugs, different types of birds, snakes and oak trees, which provide a sanctuary for many of the birds and bugs. At our BioBlitz events, we take a closer look at each one of them. To observe is to learn and what better way to learn about our nature neighbors than by observing them.

It crawls, slithers, runs, or chirps. We love them all.

Take a look at our BioBlitz video below and share with friends and family! We thank you in advance for your donations, and we hope to see you at our next BioBlitz events. GivingTuesday.
